business game plan 300x176 Whats Your Business Game Plan?How often do you sit down and really put together a business game plan for what you have coming up within your business.  I know for me, I’m always doing them and I find that they’re incredibly important for my success.  I find that without having a good business game plan I seem to loose focus and start doing non-productive activities.

Now, I decided to share this within a video because I knew that I could explain it much more clearly face to face and that you’ll be able to understand what you need to do to set up your business game plan.

Now that you understand what it is that I’m talking about when I say a business game plan, think about your own business.  Are you doing this for yourself?  Are you putting into place little micro plans to make things easier on you?  Or are you just working off of a major business plan?

Like I said in the video I find that when I’m looking at too big of a plan, I loose focus.  It’s much easier to be looking at things with smaller plans of action so that it’s more precise.

I don’t know what your business is but to me if you’re doing any sort of marketing online then you need to have these business game plans.  There’s just too much going on online and it’s just too easy to get side tracked.  This happens to me all the time.

But once I have my business game plan put into place, I know what I need to do and then I go do it.  No waiting around; I just get stuff done.

Which Way Do I Go 300x300 Taking Some Entrepreneurial Action When Getting StartedI’m feeling very strongly that I need to talk about people taking some “Entrepreneurial Action“with their online businesses and to really get going.  Let me explain this a bit here.  I keep getting asked over and over again by people “Where do I start?”, “What do I do first?”.  The answer really comes down to this…

You Take Some Entrepreneurial Action And You Get Going!

Before I get into this too much here I feel that I need to explain what I mean when I say “Entrepreneurial Action“.  What I’m talking about is taking action towards your businesses goals and dreams not knowing what the results are going to be.  You just act and move forwards.

Now I recognize that when you first begin to think about starting an online business that you probably know nothing about the internet and how to make money off of it. I get that, I too was once there.

But if you’re truly want to create a business and achieve your dreams (spend time with family, pay off debt, buy a bigger house, send your kids to college) you need to do something.  That’s where this Entrepreneurial Action comes in.

If you look up the word “Entrepreneur” in Wikipedia you’ll find the definition “An entrepreneur is an owner or manager of a business enterprise who makes money through risk and initiative.”

Notice the words “Risk” and “Initiative” are in there.  Meaning that the person that starts a business is taking on a certain level of risk and are just moving forwards.  So when you decide to start an online business you’re becoming an entrepreneur and you’re going to need to take some risks; this means some Entrepreneurial Action will need to be done.  A big action is just getting started and doing something like getting a website or finding the market you’ll be promoting too.

Now if you look around this our site here you’re going to see all sorts of different resources, ideas and guides that you can follow and take your first bit of Entrepreneurial Action with.

We’ve talked about where to get different products to sell and different types of marketing, heck, we’ve even put together an entire “Road Map” that one can follow that walks them through everything.

But here’s the real kicker with all of this…

YouTube Successful YouTube Marketing How To Get Views On YouTubeHaving a successful YouTube marketing plan has a lot to do with knowing how to get views on YouTube.  Now I’m sure that you would have stumbled into YouTube at some point in yo internet life but let me give you a quick recap of what it is.

YouTube is the largest and most know video sharing site on the internet.  Anyone that has an email address can sign up for a free account and then they can start uploading videos that the want to share.  Once you’ve uploaded a video, people can watch the video, also known as being “viewed”.

The other thing that people (myself included) have done is use YouTube to market a product or service or some sort of a site.  Now this can be a great idea because YouTube literally has millions of people a day floating around their pages watching all of these different videos that people have put up there.  If you can get a few of these people to come back to your site because they liked what they saw on YouTube, then you’ll have a good chance to make some money.

So let’s talk about a couple of different ways that you can get some views on a video that you’ve uploaded to YouTube.

Now one of my favorite ways to get a lot of views to a video is SEO.  Basically getting your video ranked in the search engines like Google or Bing.  But there is one other search engine that I feel many people seem to miss and that’s YouTube itself.

I’ve seen it time and time again where a good keyword that get’s a lot of traffic and competition on Google has a good amount of traffic in YouTube but no competition.  This becomes relatively easy to SEO a video to the top of the YouTube search results.  And think about it, Google owns YouTube so wouldn’t it make sense that they would use some of their algorithm within YouTube?  I think so.

So that is a great game plan for a successful YouTube Marketing plan.  So what’s next?

How To Get Views On YouTube Successful YouTube Marketing How To Get Views On YouTubeanother answer to the question of knowing how to get views on YouTube is social media.  Now I’m not talking about blasting your video out to all of your Facebook and Twitter friends (even though that does work).  What I’m talking about is the fact that YouTube is a social media site itself.

What you can do in YouTube is gather friends and subscribers.  All these people are people that say that they find you or your channel interesting and that they would like to stay connected with you.  Then every single time that you put out a new video you can send out to all of these people and you’ll get a whole bunch of views just from that. The more friends and subscribers that you have, the more views that you can get on your video.

I’ve used both of these 2 methods multiple times and they’ve gotten me tens of thousands of views on my videos and believe me, I’ve made some money from this.  That’s why I know that both of these successful YouTube marketing methods will give anyone that uses them a lot of views.  It’s just a mater of time.

Now that you know how to get views on YouTube with two very successful YouTube marketing methods, all you need to do is apply them and the traffic will start to come in.

SEO Basics – What Are The Basics Of SEO?

How To Increase Your SEO Ranking 250x300 SEO Basics What Are The Basics Of SEO?If you’re looking at using Google or any of the other search engines to generate traffic back to your site then you’re going to need to  know the basics of SEO (search engine optimization).  And what SEO basics do you need to know about in order to have your site getting ranked on the first page off these search engines? Let’s get into that.

First off, there are two areas that you need to know about and utilize if you really want to get your site up in the ranking.  One part is On-Page SEO and the other part is Off-Page SEO.  We’re going to get into both here so that you truly understand the basics of SEO.

On-Page SEO

What we’re doing in On-Page SEO is we’re designing your site (actually, this is based on a page by page thing with your site as an umbrella) around the keyword or niche that you’re wanting to get ranked for.

Let’s say that you want to get your site to the first page of Google for the keyword “business” (don’t recommend this unless you’re willing to work at it for the next 5+ years), what we want to do is focus everything on your site to be about business.  And I do mean the keyword business, not just business in general.  You don’t want to have your site to be about cooking or houses when you want to focus on business.

This means that the keyword “business” is strategically placed throughout your site.  The pictures, videos, articles, titles, domain name, all of it needs to be focused on that keyword.

IMPORTANT POINT HERE.  DON’T JUST STUFF YOUR MAIN KEYWORD EVERYWHERE ON YOUR SITE. Your site needs to have the look and feel of being natural.  If it’s not natural, the search engines will not like it and neither with the traffic that you get.

Off-Page SEO

What Off-Page SEO is all about is really what’s known in the industry as linking; getting links from other sites that point back to your site.  The more links you have, the better.

Now there are a ton of different places and ways that someone can get links back to their site.  You can get them from articles, blog comments, forums, link exchanges, guest posting on other peoples blogs, videos, social bookmarking, and many many more.

If you look at all the Off-Page SEO stuff what we’re trying to achieve is getting a lot of different websites to point back to your site.  The more sites that you have pointing back to your site, the more Google and the other search engines will feel that your site is important and the higher they will rank you in their listings.

Off-Page SEO or linking is a very time consuming process.  Just like On-Page SEO this has to be natural.  If you go out there and in the first couple of weeks your site is launched you get a thousand links, your site will probably get looked at as spamy and you wont get ranked at all.  You’ll probably get penalized and not get ranked at all.

So be natural with your linking.

Now one more thing that I wanted to cover before I finish this off for you, IS THIS A FREE METHOD OF MARKETING?

Well to answer that I’m going to say yes and no.  Let me explain.

If you do everything yourself, you build the site, you optimize it for the search engines, and you go out there and you get the links, then yes, it’s free.  But like I said, this is a very time consuming process.  I personally have done SEO on some of my own sites and pieces of content which have gotten me a lot of traffic and a lot of sales.  But it did take a bunch of my time.

SEO is like CEO 150x150 SEO Basics What Are The Basics Of SEO?You can also outsource some or all of the process.  SEO outsourcing is actually a very common practice.  I personally outsource the majority of my linking or Off-Page SEO.  This for me is the biggest and most grueling process unless you really know what you’re doing and what your targeting.

By doing a little bit of digging around when it comes to SEO pricing and you can find some people that are really inexpensive yet do some amazing work.  Just know what you’re looking for and what you’re really needing from them.  That will save you a lot of cash.

Wrapping this all up, I hope this helps you out with starting an online business of your own.  SEO or search engine optimization is a great way to market a business.  It’s one of the most time tested and proven methods but it’s not an instant method.  It takes some time, effort, and patients on your part but believe me, it’s well worth it.

The Basics Of Marketing On Forums

Marketing on forums is not that hard to do when you know what you’re doing…

For many people (like myself) it’s one of the first ways that they market their business.  They do this for a couple of reasons.

1) It’s free – This is a free method of marketing so it shouldn’t cost you a dime, just your time.

2) It works -Marketing on forums has been a valid method of marketing since there first were forums online and that’s pretty much been forever.

A forum is a site online

that is a social community where people have discussions around a topic that the forum has dictated.  Let me explain, say you have a question around the best way to grow a rose.  If you go to Google or Yahoo and do a search,

you’ll probably find a site where people are having a conversation around roses.  Chances are, you’re probably on a forum.  You can then join the site and ask your question.

Now here’s the thing with forums and how you market on them.  Most of the time you can put a “signature” on your profile so that every time you leave a comment your signature is shown.  Just put a link back to your site in the signature and then every time you leave a comment, your link back to your site is left there.

What happens then is as other people come to the forum and see your comment in that conversation (or thread) they will see your link.  Some people will click on this link and check out your site and some wont.  Basically, you’ll start to see some traffic coming back to your site (and this is a good thing).

This is the basics of forum marketing.  You want your link back to your site in the signature then you join in the conversation.  The more time you comment, the more links you’ll have back to your site.

Now that you know the basics, go join a forum that’s in your niche and start your forum marketing.

PS: Just remember to find a forum that’s in your niche.  You don’t want to be marketing a site about cars in a travel forum.  You wont get any results by doing that.
